Judging Information
The Roaring 20's Antique and Classic Car Club uses a point system when judging each and every vehicle on our show field, at the owners request.
All cars that are to be judged must have the windows closed, the convertible top up, the hood open, and the judging form filled out and left under a windshield wiper.
Each car in each class is judged by the same group of people using the same criteria for each vehicle. As the judges review the cars in their assigned class, they look for specific items in specific categories. If the items meet accepted standards, points are awarded, if the items do not meet accepted standards points are not awarded. The points awarded in each category are then added together and the resulting number is the total score the automobile receives at our show. The highest total score in each class is awarded first place, the second highest is awarded second place, and the third highest is awarded third place. In the event of a tie, the undercarriage will be juged.
The chart below shows the major categories, sub-categories, and maximim points that may be given in each.

Judging Disclaimer
To all Car Show Participants:
The Roaring 20's Antique and Classic Car Club, Inc. would like to thank you for your participation in today's event. Your presence at this year's car show allows us to continue our support of the Southbury Training School and it's residents.
We would like this opportunity to explain the judging criteria that we follow so that you will have a clearer understanding of how we determine the winners in each of our judging categories.
This is not a sancioned concours caliber event. Our judges are not certified antique or classic automobile appraisers. This event is a fundraiser and limited resources do not allow us to retain the services of professionals for the task of judging. Our judges, for the most part, have been educated through the experiences attained at this annual event, which has been in place since 1971. Should you choose your vehicle to be judged it will be done against all others in its class. Winners are determined by the most points accumulated by each car, using a 100 point system.
The decision of our judges is final. If your vehicle does not win a trophy, we invite you to return next year. If your vehicle is not chosen as one of he winners, please do not take the decision of the judges negatively upon your vehicle's condition or appeal. Remember that the real winners today are the people that will ultimately benefit from all of us donating our time and effort.
Once again we thank you for coming to this year's show and we hope that the day provides an enjoyable experience for you. Your participation allows us to continue our community efforts. In our eyes you are ALL winners.
Sincerely,
The Executive Board and the family members of The Roaring 20's Antique and Classic Car Club Inc.
